Piero
Biondi is eminently qualified to discuss all aspects of the culinary art, as
one of the hosts on CRN's popular daily food and beverage program,
"What's Cookin". He arrived in the US from his
native Italy at age 15, speaking no English but possessing a practical
knowledge of the kitchen and food. He started his apprenticeship at Gusti's, a
fashionable restaurant in Washington, D.C. He eventually worked his way up to
head chef. While in Washington he prepared special dinners for then Vice
President Richard Nixon, and for members of the Supreme Court. He eventually
moved to California and opened Piero's Restaurant and Trattoria, a favorite
dining spot near the NBC studios in Burbank. Piero Biondi has more than
30 years experience as a chef and has hosted his own successful radio talk show
for many years. He also was the owner and head chef of his own restaurant.

called, "the Julia Child of talk radio" and his expertise and
communication with the CRN listeners is key as the host of "What’s Cookin’
".
Mike Horn is an important part of the "What's Cookin team! In
addition to being the President of Cable Radio Network, Mike is a veteran
broadcaster who works with Chef Piero and Paul Stern to
host and exciting and
lively daily live national broadcast. Horn’s experience in Los Angeles includes
working at KBBQ and Alternative Rock/KROQ as News Director and later as on-air
talent with KROQ’s original personalities; Charlie Tuna, Sam Riddle, John
Darren and Jay Stevens. Later Horn moved to KLAC Radio as Production Director
and then to Country KFOX in Long Beach serving as on-air talent on the
"Country Mike" show. Horn moved to KFI_AM in Los Angeles in the
mid 70’s to Assistant Program Director/ Music Director and on-air talent teamed
with Dick Whittington. Horn, combined with Whittington to become part of KFI’s
comedy team line-up of Lohman and Barkley, Whittington and Horn, and Hudson and
Landry on "Goodtime Radio KFI.
Paul
W. Stern is the VP of Operations for Cable Radio Networks, the nation's largest
commercial driven cable audio service.
Today the Cable Radio Networks is heard in over 11 million cable homes
nationwide. As VP of Operations, Stern is responsible for Cable Radio
Networks (CRN) day to day operations and implementing the overall sound. This involves working with CRN's marketing, sales
and production departments. Prior to joining th Cable Radio Networks in
1991, Stern worked for radio station's KBLA, KFI and KIEV. At Glendale's Talk of the Town/ KIEV, Stern
worked on Gregg Hunter's popular Niteside LA and Weekend World of Entertainment.
While at KIEV, Stern gained valuable experience dealing with celebrities
such as Ester Williams, Carole Channing and Rita Moreno.
